Developing a Personal Brand
Short Blog Series:
Day 1
What is important to me?
Design efforts that strive to make the world a better place. Team environments, working in a group can exponentially increase efforts towards a cause.
An Ideal Day?
Team meeting first thing in the morning, discussing design project/projects, work out concerns and problem areas. Individualized work or more intimate team work to accomplish goals for the day, lunch, continued work throughout the day and one on one meetings dispersed throughout until time to go home.
Who inspires me?
My sister Casey, Kristen Murphy, my grandmother, Michelle Obama, Malala Yousafsai, Krukow Design
Who do I want to inspire?
Myself, my teammates and future coworkers/teammates, my friends
Day 2
What makes me different from other people?
My sensitivity, my intuitiveness, my passion for standing up for others
If I had an extra hour each day, what would I fill it with?
Talking with my family
What makes me feel powerful?
triumphing over obstacles, seeing long term goals being met, feeling my personal relationships grow
What am I grateful for?
My friends and family, my health, my home, my jobs, my education, my work ethic, my drive, my mind
Before I die
I want to travel outside of the country on my own terms, have a marriage that lasts, have good relationships with my family and future children, have a successful garden, finish projects that have helped the human race, create a legacy of success
Day 3
What makes me feel powerful?
Having order and balance in my life, completing my goals, support from my loved ones
What makes me feel alive?
Action movies (specifically superhero movies), helping other people, "saving people" or "rescuing them", love
When do I feel calmest?
When I've achieved what I wanted to for the day, when I feel balance in my home life, work life, and school life, when I have a plan, when I can trust and rely on others
Who would I do anything for?
Casey, my grandmother, myself?
What is important to me?
Consistency, personal growth, being able to control my time, trust, communication
What do I want my legacy to be?
I want a legacy of success that is imbued with compassion for others, a strong work ethic, significant achievements, and longevity
What makes me different from other people?
My determination to find alternative solutions, my story, my energy and attention to detail, my personal experiences that I try to incorporate into design solutions or as examples of design problems
Conclusion:
I research everyday design problems to find innovative solutions that guide users, enhance daily life, and improve efficiency.
